The Lord of Life Quilters of Baxter, Minnesota

The Lord Of Life Quilters meet each Thursday morning at the church. The "Quilters" are lady members of the church who pool their talent to arrange and sew the quilts from material donated from church members or acquired at local garage sales. We work on more than one quilt at a time but it takes about 20 hours to complete one.

The quilts are then donated to various charities, organizations, individuals and families in need. The Brainerd Fire Department, Camp Knudson, the Women's Shelter and the Gillette Children's hospital in Minneapolis have been recipients. This past year four quilts were taken to Russia by church members.

Bidding start at $50 and all proceeds go to our FHNB Chapter.

2nd Annual Tyler Magnan Memorial Fishing Tournament

Visit the RodBenders website for detail on how to join in this tournament. Our chapter of FHNB is supported directly by this tournament so participating not only allows you to honor Tyler's memory but to help with something very special that Tyler cared about. The tournament takes place on 8-16-08. The 2007 event featured 23 boats and raised approximately $1,300 to help our chapter.
